The ARCHITECT’s SKETCH PAD SERVICE provides one hour of a professional architect’s time at the property, and with the aid of on-site free-hand sketches and notes, will provide any or all of the following –
Specific renovation suggestions for the property
- Comments and ideas on how your specific needs may be met in terms of building renovations and alterations.
Architectural appraisal of the property
- Comments on plan layout, building orientation, effect of sun penetration into the home, rain protection, breezes, accessing the views, point of entry, etc.
General renovation potential for the property –
- Comments and ideas on the inherent renovation potential, as seen by the architect, of the property with regard to where the best areas for expansion or additional spaces are, how the interior layout may be altered to make better use of the inherent characteristics of the site, and the suggested style for the renovations.
The Service
The aim of the ARCHITECT’s SKETCH PAD SERVICE is not to provide detailed design solutions. Your needs and wants are aired, ideas and concepts are discussed, and options may evolve. You may ask the Architect whatever questions you wish or discuss any aspect of the property during the consultation.
But, more importantly, you have the opportunity to meet personally and at your home with an architect who is an expert in the residential renovations and alterations field, for a very nominal fixed fee!
This service does not provide an evaluation of the condition of the property. The ARCHITECT’S SKETCH PAD SERVICE is purely a design-oriented service. If you are in the process of purchasing the property, it is recommended that you obtain a detailed inspection of the condition of the property from a specialist building inspection company separately from this service.
This Service gives you the opportunity to see what an architect can do for you, particularly if you haven’t used an architect before.
